Research Institute

Participatory Conservation

The Nerja Cave Research Institute organizes outreach activities to promote the cave’s heritage and encourage its conservation.

Dissemination

With the growing need to preserve our precious heritage, the Nerja Cave Research Institute goes one step further in its conservation mission. It doesn’t just protect; it strives to share, educate, and ignite passion in people’s hearts for the majesty that resides in Nerja Cave and its surroundings.

Throughout the year, the Institute develops a colorful spectrum of dissemination activities, each meticulously designed with a dual purpose: to enlighten society’s minds about the immense heritage richness of Nerja Cave and to cultivate a deep sense of civic responsibility towards its care and conservation. Because, after all, our heritage is a mirror of our past and a compass for our future.

These activities are not only educational but also exciting and accessible to all kinds of audiences. From students to scholars, history enthusiasts to nature lovers, each person will find something that speaks to them. The activities are organized in harmony with important national events, such as World Environment Day, Science Week, or European Archaeology Days, among others, providing an exceptional platform for learning and enjoyment.

If you are eager to explore, learn, and contribute, we invite you to participate in our activities. Your interest and enthusiasm are the spark that fuels our mission. Get in touch with us, and we will keep you informed, opening the doors to a journey of discovery and care that will transform not only your view of the world but also how you see yourself in it. Your adventure awaits at Nerja Cave.

A PLACE TO LEARN
